I have a medical examination on Friday and because I have so much. Upper arm with a large hospital to use the wrist and my high blood pressure is extremely (140/104), I ended up with the pressure measured at fortress Blood with the "normal" size wrist and is still better (123/84) I know that reading these two very high. But I'm trying to follow to help you decide. If I want to use drugs or not. I'm trying to lose weight I know I will be reduced.
In fact, wrist size will affect the reading. But often in the opposite direction of what you have described. If you have a great big arm cuff should be used and should provide a more accurate reading than most. Size (usually) small size of the wrist. Reading is often lower than the read with smaller wrists. What you will find a "high White coat from the hospital your blood pressure last Friday, you may be more alert than when they were alone in the booth staff is not. Health of everyone. I would like to know if anybody purchased a home Portable Ultrasound Machine for Pain Relief. i purchased one for my knee injury and was wandering if anybody else found relief with these machines. i bought mine for $60 i just started using it last night. anybody have any problems after using it? thank you.
For 60$ you're not getting an ultrasonic machine, you're getting a fancy massager. The pizo-electric components of a real ultrasonic generator would cost you much, much more.

Why is it that the Blood Pressure Cuff normally is wrapped around the arm at the same level as the heart?
Positioning the Arm and Equipment in Taking a blood pressure reading:
Use the left arm to take the reading. If using a Wrist Cuff, try to ensure the wrist is at the same height as the CHEST or you will get ELEVATED or REDUCED readings due to gravity. . With the person sitting comfortably and their elbow resting on a surface, wrap the cuff around the upper arm until it feels snug. The cuff needs to be positioned about 2 cm above the elbow. Usually a Velcro strip makes this easy. The cord from the cuff should run down the inside of the arm straight to the machine. Make sure no kinks are in the cord.
What are the pros and cons of the digital monitor?
Because the digital monitor is automatic, it is the more popular blood-pressure measuring device. The blood pressure measurement is easy to read, because the numbers are shown on a screen. Some electronic monitors also have a paper printout that gives you a record of the blood pressure reading.
The digital monitor is easier to use than the aneroid unit. It has a gauge and stethoscope in one unit, and the numbers are easy to read. It also has an error indicator, and deflation is automatic. Inflation of the cuff is either automatic or manual, depending on the model. This blood pressure monitoring device is good for hearing-impaired patients, since there is no need to listen to heart sounds through the stethoscope
A disadvantage of the digital monitor is that the accuracy is changed by body movements or an irregular Heart Rate. In addition, the monitor requires batteries. Some models are designed for use with the left arm only. This may make them hard for some patients to use. Finally, some digital monitors are expensive. They range in price from about $30 to over $100.
What are the pros and cons of the aneroid monitor?
One advantage of the aneroid monitor is that it can easily be carried from one place to another. Also, the cuff for the device has a built-in stethoscope, so you don't need to buy a separate stethoscope. It's also easier to manage this way. The unit may have a special feature that makes it easy to put the cuff on with one hand. In addition, the aneroid monitor usually costs less than digital monitors. Aneroid monitors range in price from about $20 to $40.
The aneroid monitor also has some disadvantages. First, it is a complicated device that can easily be damaged and become less accurate. The device is also difficult to use if it doesn't have the special feature--a metal ring--that makes it easier to put the cuff on. In addition, the rubber bulb that inflates the cuff may be difficult to squeeze. This type of monitor may not be appropriate for hearing-impaired people, because of the need to listen to heart sounds through the stethoscope
Can I use a finger/wrist Blood Pressure Monitor?
Tests have shown that finger/wrist devices do not measure blood pressure very accurately. They are extremely sensitive to position and body temperature, and are more expensive than other monitors (often costing more than $100).
Therefore, the arm cuff doesn't have to be applied in the same level as the chest or the heart.
my blood pressure cuff is saying my pressure is 100/70 and the doctor when he takes it it says 150/80 which ones right or can it be that im nervous and it goes up at the doctors?
A good topic! When I had one of those electronic pressure things, it sqeezed my arm so tightly I thought I was going to rip it off and run out of the room! plus it didn't work right twice.
The old fashioned way where the dr. pumps up the little pressure cuff works better and doesn't hurt nearly as much. Really, you'd think those electronic ones are causing damage!
