Yamaha 82 xv750 Virago How do I remove the allen head cap screw from the very bottom of fork it just turns.?
you might have to make a 2 or 3 foot long allen wrench to hold the damper rod from turning.
push a soft wooden dowel rod into the top to see what size hex it is, probably 13 or 14 mm.
then weld a bolt with that size head to a piece of re bar or something that's long enough to reach down the tube.
bend the re bar over to make a handle or just hold it with vise grips.
paint it red or yellow so you wont lose it & have to make another one the next time you need it in a year or 2. I always lose mine.
