bio lab on electrophoresis?

I was wondering if anyone new the answers to Argose gel electrophoresis lab by bio - rad because I'm almost done but have the last 2 questions on the las page that i dont really understand

agarose gels is the medium where you inoculate your dna sample and then, you will see seperation of the pieces during electrophoresis , because they usually dye the DNA sample with ethidium bromide and cut the DNA into pieces by endonucleases..
